Boys & Girls Brigade Camp

This years' BB and GB camp took place from 1st to 4th June, camping at the Holme Pierrepont Country Park, conveniently next to the National Water Sports Centre! We took 4 staff, 4 girls and 6 boys, so a perfect number for the evening rounders matches - which saw some first class fielding from Adrian, Ed and Josh.

The weather stayed dry so we walked, and ran, and kayaked, and ate chips, and explored, and played mini golf, and swung on the high ropes, and in the case of Harrison and Max went for a quick swim.

At the Friday morning 'Wake boarding session' , the girls - Maddie, Ella, Iona and Grace - stole the show, clearly having a better sense of balance and posture than the boys, although Fred and Jack did give them a good run for their money.

The food was plentiful (special thanks to Alice and Ade), the games of Empires relentless, and the devotions well listened to. David and Sarah both gained a PB for number of cups of tea drank in a 24 hour period, but also managed to fit in a brief discussion on where to go next year! Thanks to God for a great camp.
