John 3 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

We welcome boys and girls from the age of 7 upwards.

Our Boys Brigade (BB) and Girls Brigade (GB) groups normally meet every Monday night during term time, from 6:00 pm until 7:45 pm. Normal Monday night activities include sports and games, art and crafts, and tasks and projects involving the local community.

Throughout the year we run a variety of outdoor and adventurous activities from building fires and cycling, to treasure hunts, orienteering and kayaking.

Normally at the end of May we run our annual summer camp. We vary year to year to cater for everyone, usually going under canvas but sometimes having an indoor accommodation option! Our favourite venues have become the Nottingham Holme Pierrepont National Water Sports Centre, Keswick in the Lake District, Beaumanor Hall in Leicestershire, and Edale in the Peak District.

Since both BB and GB are global organisations, throughout the year there are opportunities to join with regional or national activities. Our best success in recent years have been in the BB National Competition and the Leicestershire Battalion table tennis competition.

For those boys and girls aged 13 and over we run the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.

If you want to find out more about either of the Brigades in general, please click on the appropriate logo above.

To enquire about joining Brigades or beginning on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, please send an email to David or Sarah.
